Fitness Jamz

Fitness Jamz is a one hour, 8 session per group program for grades K – 8th, designed to combat childhood obesity by empowering youth and providing participants with sessions containing the resources to do so. Participants will collaborate with other youth on a dance fitness routine using diverse songs and beats to increase physical activity in a fun way. Participants will also be introduced to a variety of physical games that encourage aerobic movement and learn a variety of physical activities they can take back home to their family and friends. All of these combined, encourage youth to work together in the sessions as one using teamwork and other skills to complete the sessions and perform their routine at the end of the last session for a culminating family night.
